Since 1963, Barton Memorial Hospital has served the healthcare needs of our community and continues to expand as those needs increase. The Barton HealthCare System consists of these main entities: Barton Memorial Hospital, Carson Valley Medical Center, Stateline Medical Center, Tahoe Family Physicians, Job’s Peak Pediatrics , Barton Community Clinic and various Clinics at Local Ski Resorts. Our staff is dedicated to providing quality health care for the entire family.
This mountain top community is located 100 miles east of Sacramento, California, and 60 miles southwest of Reno, Nevada, at approximately 6,200 foot altitude in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The breath-taking beauty of Lake Tahoe lends itself to year-around outdoor recreation, with the added draw of gaming and celebrity entertainment that attracts people from all over the world. Barton Memorial Hospital is a community-owned, not-for-profit hospital with state-of-the-art technology, board certified physicians and an outstanding group of employees. As one of the most popular ski areas in the world, the 60,000 square foot hospital is home to an outstanding orthopedics program. Barton Memorial Hospital serves a population of over 100,000 residents, spread from the Lake Tahoe area, through Douglas County and to the remote areas of Lyon County, Nevada.

As the nursing shortage is sweeping across the country, Barton Memorial Hospital is preparing for the future with several Nursing Programs and events for potential nursing staff and for Graduate Registered Nurses.
